While Steven Brill primarily handles criminal cases, his trial experience has enable him to successfully bring the firms personal injury and civil rights cases to trial. In April of 2019, he obtained a $900,000 verdict on behalf of the victim of police brutality. In October of 2019, he obtained a $713,000 verdict on behalf of a 16 year old student that was hit by a car while walking home from school. After the verdict, the insurance company paid $56,500 over its policy limit to settle the case. Steve's success is the result of his commitment and passion to handle every case that he is involved in as if he was representing a close family member. He get to know and understand the client's loss in way that enables him to effectively and credibly convey the degree of harm caused by the defendant's wrongful conduct.
Steve is a graduate of George Washington University and Temple University School of Law. He started his career in New York as a legal aid lawyer representing indigent people charged with state crimes. He has been named a New York Super Lawyer every year since 2014.
